Can’t Fake the Spirit

Manufactured Ministry vs. True Fruit

Ever been around someone doing major “works” in the church, but there is absolutely no joy, no love, and no peace on their face? đź’”

It’s a heavy thing to witness. Poor souls intent on serving God in a certain way, whether God actually wanted them to do it or not. They see the glamour jobs—the pastor, the leader, the charismatic teacher—and because they crave that spotlight, they manufacture a calling that isn’t theirs.

But here’s the truth: you can’t fake the Holy Spirit.

When God is the one making the call, He provides the wherewithal to do the assignment. In pure obedience to that call—whether it’s glamorous or completely hidden—an abundance of true fruit is produced.

When we try to force a assignment in our own strength, we end up sustained by our own energy. It leads straight to bitterness, burnout, and bad fruit. But when we step into what God actually asked of us? His yoke is easy. His burden is light.

Jesus said it best: “By their fruits you will know them.” True discipleship isn’t about the size of your platform; it’s about the presence of His Spirit in the middle of your obedience.

Let’s stop manufacturing roles we weren’t built for. What quiet assignment is God asking you to step into today with joy?👇
